Welcome to Bristol’s second Storytelling Festival!

The festival is a week-long series of events to celebrate stories and storytelling in Bristol. It is being held during National Storytelling Week.

During the Festival professional storytellers will skilfully weave local legends, folk tales, tall stories, historical anecdotes, ghostly rumours and enchanting yarns at different venues across Bristol for children, families and adults to experience and enjoy the magic of storytelling.

“Storytelling is a natural human instinct and one of the oldest art forms. Storytelling uses the power of the spoken word to take listeners on a journey of the imagination. Through oral storytelling each story is individually recreated in the moment – in the space between the teller and the listener.” - The Society for Storytelling
